I have read about EclipseXUL, but I have hesitated in downloading it. Eclipse is so big and has so many pieces that I have stayed away from it.

I did read that EclipseXUL may get some support from a Google Summer of Code project. I'll probably have to give it a try soon.

I have recently installed <a href="http://eclipsexul.sourceforge.net/" rel="nofollow">EclipseXUL</a> plugin that makes all that dirty job with creating direcotry structure and default files for every new XUL application, and allows to run application in XULRunner with one click directly from Eclipse. If you add JSEclipse or Aptana for Javascript code assist you get a really powerful XUL development platform.
