Our Mike Beltzner created a sweet little screencast covering some of the cool new parts of Firefox 3. Mike’s been giving this “demo” for a while now and he does a great job showing how Firefox 3 can make your browsing experience better. Check it out.

It’s cool, but I can’t believe he did it without first installing Adblock Plus. No, I don’t want to find my classmates and I don’t want to be distracted either!
Which genius decided to turn off the https yellow location bar background?
I have to agree with pd – Why turn off the yellow address bar for https. It did a good job of letting people know it was an https connection. Do I now have to re-educate users..
dumb idea.
I don’t see the big deal with changing the visual cue identifying a secure connection. It’s still easily visible and encourages people to see what Larry has to say. I do not use IE, but I’ve heard that it uses a yellow URL bar to mark suspicious sites. If that’s true, then it seems like a good idea to get rid of that. Hopefully more companies will start using EV, which gives an even better visual cue.
